It is possible that the foxglove was one of the plants introduced into the US because it was used as a heart medicine. It is a common wildflower here in the UK and a cottage garden favourite. Nicholas Culpeper was a well known botanist who wrote about herbal remedies, foxglove features in his Herbal - a book of herbal recipes.......
